Mahir Blues Rock

www.gitarisindonesia.com -  Mahir Blues Rock (originally named Antonius Mahir Mayanto) was born in Jakarta August 16th, 1979, he is a Blues Rock Guitarist, he is also a guitarist of Mahir & The Alligators.  Mahir & The Alligators is a band of Soul Blues Rock in Jakarta formed on August 16th, 1995. Mahir Blues has been playing guitar since 23 years ago. He decided to play guitar seriously because he was inspired by Slash (Guns N' Roses). 

He was studying privately with one of Indonesia's Fushion guitarist Donny Suhendra, and had also learned rock guitar from Tjahjo Wisanggeni, Andry Franzzy (Andry Muhammad), Dewa Budjana, Kadek Rahardika & Lian Panggabean in Farabi Music School Jakarta. Mahir’s style influence by Donny suhendra, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Slash, Joe Perry, Zakk Wylde, Albert King, BB King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Lance Lopez, Michael Landau, Robben Ford, Rama Satria, Gideon Tengker, Emmand Saleh, Tjahjo Wisanggeni, etc. In his early experience, he established a band hard rock called  Mahir & The Alligators which was popular in the local community. Throughout his musical experience in Indonesia, he has collaborated with many famous musician such as Donny Suhendra, Gideon Tengker, Kadek Rahardika, Rini Asmara, Uce Haryono, Emmand Saleh, Sylvia Saartje, Amiroez, Ita Purnamasari, Edo Widiz, Dwiki Dharmawan, John Paul Ivan, Nita Aaartsen, Jelly Tobing, Ivanka SLANK, Regina Ivanova, Baruna ELPAMAS, Harry Toledo, Dani Mamesah, Puguh Kribo, etc.

In 2012 Mahir & The Alligators released a single "Kuda Besi" of Born To Fight Compilation CD and is also included in Rockapolutan CD Compilation Album (2015).  In 2015 also Mahir & The Alligators released a 2nd single "Rock & Roll Abiiiisss" of The Lingers CD Compilation Album.

Besides playing with his band, Mahir Blues also involved as a guitarist for GRIB & GPDI Keluarga Tupos Church Worship Team. He is also involved as a guitarist in Indonesia Kita community who has produced an album titled Indonesia Kita, which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia.

Mahir is also active as a music teacher in several military and police special forces headquarters, including Yonif 201 Jaya Yudha, Yonif 202 Tajimalela TNI AD, Denjaka TNI AL, Korps Paskhas TNI AU & Korps Brimob POLRI. From there are adept at looking for potential students and invited to collaborate with Mahir & The Alligators.

He also actively works as a lawyer in ACR Law Office.
